Description

1998-99 Shawn Kemp Cleveland Cavaliers Game Worn Jersey - Photo Matched! One of the first players to jump from high school to the NBA, the Rain Man was a physical presence in the league from the moment he debuted in 1989 at the age of twenty. Blessed with speed, quickness and hops packed into a 6-10 250-pound frame, Shawn Kemp helped to redefine how the power forward position was played, displaying a blend of physicality and athleticism previously unseen at the four spot. Although best remembered for his aerial acrobatics and thundering slams, Kemp was also a superb rebounder, consistent point producer, and ran the court as well or better than any big man ever. In 1998-99, he recorded one of the most productive seasons of his professional career, averaging a career high 20.5 point per game.

Presented here is Kemp's gamer from that 1998-99 campaign, Black and blue mesh sports "Cleveland" sewn across the chest on a diagonal with "4" offset below and "Kemp 4" on the verso, all sewn-on in orange on white tackle twill. Black and blue trim adorns the collar and arm openings. Tail tags include "Cleveland Cavaliers By Starter, Body +4," "52," and a blank swatch. Exhibits nice game wear with "high altitude fraying" to the identifiers. Photomatched to February 10, 1999 contest versus Charlotte when Kemp registered twenty points and thirteen boards in a winning effort. LOA from Resolution Photomatching. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
