1996-97 Kevin Garnett Signed Game Worn & Signed Minnesota Timberwolves Jersey & Trunks, MEARS A10 - Photo Matched to Multiple Games Including 3/30/97 versus the Warriors (Thirty-Three-Point Season High)! The recent popularity of The Last Dance documentary and continuing advances in the field of photo matching have contributed to a spike in the demand for game worn basketball artifacts and the prices they are bringing at auction. With his recent selection the Basketball Hall of Fame's Class of 2020, Kevin Garnett's stock has also never been higher. Earlier this year, Garnett's rookie uniform realized over $36,000 in Heritage's spring sale. On offer here is KG's complete game worn uniform (jersey and trunks) from his second pro season. In addition to being photomatched to multiple games (including his season high thirty-three point contest versus the Warriors), it also stands as the most attractive ensemble he ever wore on an NBA court.

The blue mesh jersey reports "Timberwolves 21" across the front and "Garnett 21" on the verso, in triple-sewn-on white/black/silver sparkle tackle twill and one of the most spectacular letter and number fonts ever conceived. The collar and arm holes feature black trim with a green pine tree motif. The left shoulder displays the NBA logo in gold (in honor of the league's fiftieth anniversary season), with three tags residing in the left tail: "Champion 48," "Body Length +3" and the local "Streichen's Sporting Goods...Year 96-97 Set 3." The verso is autographed in silver sharpie between the name and number. Matching shorts display two different Timberwolves patches and the gold NBA logo patch, plus the green pine tree on black trimmed waistband. Interior tagging includes an exclusive tag, with extra rise and inseam, and a "Champion 46" tag, with "21 Set 3" in black marker. The entire uniform exhibits identifiable game use, including fabric wear, pliable identifiers, and evidence of multiple washings.

John Robinson at Resolution Photomatching has photo matched the uniform to three significant games, including 2/18/97 versus the Kings (eighteen points, eleven rebounds and four blocks), 3/28/97 versus the Supersonics (seventeen points, nine rebounds and three assists), and 3/30/97 versus the Warriors (season high thirty-three points).

A 1995 McDonald's All-American at Farragut Career Academy, Kevin Garnett was also selected as the national player of the year. From there he was off to the NBA, where he spent twenty-one seasons establishing himself as one of the top power forwards in basketball history. His numerous career accolades include fifteen All-Star selections, 2004 NBA MVP, 2008 NBA Defensive Player of the Year, and 2008 NBA Champion. LOA from Resolution Photomatching. LOA from MEARS, A10. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
