Description
1996-97 Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway Game Worn & Signed Orlando Magic Jersey with Hardaway Letter. Despite a devastating injury at the start of the 1996-97 campaign, Penny bravely fought back to average 20.5 points in fifty-nine games, while garnering both All-Star and All-NBA accolades. Hardaway, like Grant Hill, gave us a glimpse of today's NBA superstar back in the 1990's. Both were 6-8 athletic marvels who could play multiple positions, guard smalls and bigs, and possessed that enviable combination of size and elite ball handling skills.Here we present a Penny gamer which is sure to strike a chord with both Magic fans and uniform aficionados alike because it possesses two enviable traits. First, it comes with a vintage signed letter of provenance on Orlando Magic letterhead from Penny himself. Second, it bears the gold NBA logo, which was designed to celebrate the league's golden anniversary and which was worn exclusively during the 1996-97 season.
Road black/white pinstripe mesh sparkles with "Orlando" imbedded across the chest in white and blue, with the "a" replaced by a silver-spackled five-point star trimmed in black. A blue/white tackle twill "1" sits below, and on the verso in a larger format. Meanwhile, "Hardaway," appearing in a distinctive tall and thin font, is beautifully arched in white tackle twill on the verso. White/blue/white ribbed trim adorns the collar and arm openings, while Jerry West's iconic likeness sits high on the left chest in his familiar logo format. Proper Champion tagging in the tail denotes size ("50"), season ("96/97"), body length ("+4") and exclusivity.
