1995-96 Shawn Kemp NBA Finals Game Worn & Signed Seattle Supersonics Jersey - Photo Matched! One of the first players to jump from high school to the NBA, the Rain Man was a physical presence in the league from the moment he debuted in 1989 at the age of twenty. Blessed with speed, quickness and hops packed into a 6-10 250-pound frame, Shawn Kemp helped to redefine how the power forward position was played, displaying a blend of physicality and athleticism previously unseen at the four spot.Although best remembered for his aerial acrobatics and thundering slams, Kemp was also a superb rebounder, consistent point producer, and ran the court as well or better than any big man ever. In 1995-96, he recorded the most productive season of his professional career, averaging 19.6 points, 11.4 rebounds, and shooting .561 from the field. With Kemp leading the way, the Seattle Supersonics responded with the best record (64-18) in franchise history, winning the Western Conference, and challenging Michael Jordan and the 72-10 Chicago Bulls in the 1996 NBA Finals.
The road forest-green mesh jersey offered here has been photomatched to Games One (thirty-two points, eight rebounds), Two (twenty-nine points, thirteen rebounds), and Six (eighteen points, fourteen rebounds) of the 1996 NBA Finals. "Sonics 40" bursts across the front with "Kemp 40" on the verso, all sewn on in white/gold/maroon tackle twill. Red/gold trim adorns the collar and arm openings with the NBA Finals logo patch and the NBA logo patch sewn on the left and right shoulders respectively. Also, Champion's size ("50') and exclusivity ("Body Length +4") tags reside in the tail. Furthermore, the identifiers exhibit fabulous game wear and the Rain Main signs the back "4" in NRMT black sharpie.
