1988-89 Muggsy Bogues Game Worn & Signed Charlotte Hornets Jersey & Shorts. Selected by the Charlotte Hornets in the 1988 NBA Expansion Draft, Tyrone spent nine full season in The Queen City, where he was the king of speed. Terrorizing opponents with his insane quickness, from baseline to baseline, Bogues was the perfect leader for an up-tempo offense.A unique creation by legendary fashionista Alexander Julian, this Hornets inaugural road teal knit jersey excites with purple/green/blue pinstriping dates from the 1988-89 campaign when Bogues averaged 7.8 assists per game. "Charlotte 1" appears across the chest with "Bogues 1" on the verso, all sewn-on in white on purple tackle twill. Meanwhile, teal/white/purple/blue trim adorns the cross over v-neck collar and sleeve openings, while two tags reside in the customized tail, namely the Hornets exclusive label and an "88" year swatch. Also the front is signed "Muggsy #1" in 9/10 vintage black sharpie.
Matching tiny shorts, with team and league logos, reveal Sand-Knit MacGregor labels for size ("30") and exclusivity, plus "88" and "1" swatches. The entire ensemble exhibits nice wear. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
