1988-89 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Game Worn & Signed Los Angeles Lakers Jersey.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was in the national basketball spotlight for twenty-nine consecutive years. He first came to our attention as a thirteen-year-old eighth grader at St. Jude's Elementary School in New York City named Lew Alcindor. From there it was on Power Memorial High School where his teams were 96-6, won 71 consecutive games, and three New York City Championships. During his four years at UCLA, the NCAA banned the dunk to stop him but it didn't work because he had the most unstoppable shot in basketball history - the skyhook. His teams were 109-2, won 47 consecutive games, and three NCAA Championships. He was a three-time All-American, two-time College Player of the Year, and three-time tournament MVP.

As the first pick in the 1969 NBA Draft, Kareem led the Milwaukee Bucks to the NBA title in his second season and the franchise's third. In 1975, he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in one of the biggest trades in the history of sport. He would go on to lead the Lakers to five NBA titles during the 1980's. During his twenty-year career in the NBA, Kareem scored a record 38,387 points, played in a record 19 NBA All-Star Games, and was the NBA's Most Valuable Player a record six times. His teams won six NBA Titles and he was the Finals MVP twice.

On offer here is Kareem's game worn road jersey from his final NBA season, the culmination of his three decades in basketball. Purple mesh with letters, numbers and trim in Forum gold and white, has "Lakers 33" on the front and Abdul-Jabbar 33" on the verso. Kareem signs the first "3" on both sides in black sharpie. Signature is neat and bold. Tail contains "MacGregor Sand-Knit 44" tag with the crown, "88" box tag, "4"LB," plus the exclusivity tag. Solid wear by The Captain. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
