1987-88 Larry Bird Game Worn Signed Boston Celtics Jersey With Provenance. Statistically speaking, Larry Bird's finest scoring output was enjoyed during the 1987-88 season as he scotched the nets at a 29.9 point per game clip, grabbed a little over nine rebounds a contest and dished out 6.1 assists per game. His dominance was further showcased as he scored 40 or more points on 11 occasions. For his Hall of Fame career, Bird scored 40 or more points 47 times. The hard-nosed hick from French Lick donned this very jersey during road contests that eventful season. We can just imagine how many jumpers Bird drained, and trash he talked, while wearing this very pullover. What makes this, and the Robert Parrish and Kevin McHale gamers in Heritage's Signature Auction, stand out more than ninety percent of the other gamers to surface is there is concrete authentication established from a high ranking executive. All three have a signed letter from former Celtics CFO & Senior Vice President Joe DiLorenzo which states: "I, Joseph G. DiLorenzo former CFO & Senior Vice president of the Boston Celtics, confirm that the following was from my personal collection and obtained during my tenure with the team." Constructed out of cheese cloth material is the offered "Sand Knit [size] 44" pullover. "Celtics 33" is captured on front while the reverse has "Bird 33" instituted. The NOB is sewn directly on. Secured in the tail are the following tags which are pertinent in dating the treasured artifact: "87" year swatch, "Celtics Sand Knit exclusivity" and "MacGregor Sand Knit [size] 44". The use is adequate with some rippling from launderings administered. Bird signed the front in blue ballpoint. LOA from former Celtics Senior Vice President. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
