    Description

1986 Larry Bird Gift of Sneakers & Gym Bag to Len Bias from the Len Bias Collection. The biggest star of the Boston Celtics franchise did his part to make the new kid feel welcome, presenting young Bias with this pair of sneakers and a gym bag on Draft Day. The sneakers are the classic "Converse Chuck Taylor" style, size thirteen, with what appears to be either "Birds" or "3rds" stamped inside the tongue. The sneakers appear to have some wear, but we are uncertain of this, and of who, if anyone, did wear them. The gym bag is a standard team-issued model by "Starter," constructed of canvas and bearing the team logo on the sides and the team name on the ends. The bag shows no apparent use. An intriguing lot featuring gifts from one of the greatest to another who could have been.
