Description
1982-84 Bob Lanier Game Worn Milwaukee Bucks Jersey. A member of both the Basketball Hall of Fame and the College Basketball Hall of Fame, Bob Lanier's size and skill set, further complimented by an array of spins, head fakes, and up-and-under moves, made him one of the most difficult covers of the 1970's.His late career home white knit displays "Bucks 16" on the chest and "Lanier 16" on the verso, all screened-on in red and forest green applique. Red trim decorates the collar and arm openings, while red braid and multi-color striping accentuates the side panels. Meanwhile, two Medalist San-Knit labels are reside in the tail, confirming size and exclusivity. Exhibits medium to solid wear.
The first overall pick of the 1970 NBA Draft out of St. Bonaventure, Lanier headed a draft class that also included future Hall of Famers Pete Maravich, Dave Cowens, Rudy Tomjanovich, Calvin Murphy and Nate Archibald. Bob would go on to earn eight All-Star berths and the 1974 All-Star Game MVP award. He also won the first NBA One-On-One Contest in 1971-72, when he bested Boston Celtics' guard Jo Jo White in the finals to walk away with a duffle bag stuffed with $15,000 in one dollar bills.
