1981-82 Kurt Rambis Game Worn Los Angeles Lakers Jersey with Exceptional Wear - Rookie & Championship Season Photo Matched! Kurt Rambis played a crucial role in the Los Angeles Lakers' success during the 1980s, particularly as a key piece of their "Showtime" era. Though not a star, his relentless hustle, rebounding, and defensive toughness complemented the Lakers' fast-paced offense led by Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Rambis provided physicality in the frontcourt, doing the dirty work that allowed the team's stars to shine. His gritty style of play endeared him to fans and made him an essential role player in four Lakers championship runs (1982, 1985, 1987, 1988). Later, he contributed as a coach and executive.

Here is his rookie gamer which was worn during the 1981-82 season when Showtime was in full swing. That season, the Lakers won their second of five titles in the decade and the first with Pat Riley as head coach. The Forum Gold home jersey sports purple/white tackle twill identifiers and a "Tiernan" manufacturer's tag centered in the tail. The wear is exceptional on this exemplar which exhibits season-long use. An amazing gamer from one the men who helped shape Showtime.

Jersey has been photo matched to the Lakers' January 20, 1982 victory over the New Jersey Nets. Rambis contributed eleven points, nine rebounds and five assists. Photo match LOA from Sports Investors Authentication. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
