1980 Circa Bob Lanier Game Worn Milwaukee Bucks Jersey. Averaging double figures in points and rebounds is the true barometer of a big man. Few are able to keep up that type of work for a year much less a career. During his 14-year roundball journey, Lanier averaged a robust 20.1 points a game to go with his 10.1 rebounds per contest output. Eight times Lanier was given an All-Star nod. While Lanier is usually remembered for his inordinately large size "20" feet, he was one of the finest post players of his generation. After starring for the Detroit Pistons, Lanier landed in Milwaukee and continued his dominating ways. Style and substance are not compromised with this eye-grabbing knit jersey which Lanier sporting during his days in Brew City. Since the Bucks are notoriously stingy with what surfaces on the open market, any jersey from such a time period is cause for celebration. Heat pressed are "Bucks 16" (front) and "Lanier 16" (reverse). The NOB is correctly spaced to an arched nameplate in single-color red. A few dirt marks appear on back. Red ribbed material surrounds the neck, shoulder yokes and side striping. Accentuating the sides is a rainbow configuration of differing shades of green with white mixed in. Sewn in the tail is a "Milwaukee Bucks Medalist Sand Knit" tag (glue affixed) and "Medalist Sand Knit [size] 46" tag (sewn). LOA from Heritage Auctions.
