1980-84 Downtown Fred Brown Game Worn Seattle Supersonics Jersey. The NBA has some of the finest nicknames in the sporting world. But is there a better moniker for a sharpshooter, one capable of hitting from nearly any spot on the floor than "Downtown"? In 1979-80, the first year the three-point line was in place, Downtown Freddie Brown led the NBA in three-point percentage. For all of his contributions, Brown's number was retired by the organization, never to be worn again. Presented is this heavily worn mesh pullover, donned by the great shooting artist circa 1980-84. Heavy puckering is found on each set of numbers. "Sonics" is arched on front (heat pressed) while "Brown" is correctly spaced on back in single-color green tackle twill. A lone "Medalist Sand Knit [size] 40" tag is found in the tail. Players come and go, but Downtown Freddie Brown's elevated level of play during the Sonics glory days will never be forgotten.
