    Description

1972-73 Mahdi Abdul-Rahman Game Worn Golden State Warriors Jersey. Born Walt Hazzard in Wilmington, Delaware, Abdul-Rahman was named high school player of the year in Philadelphia before helping to lead the UCLA Bruins to their historic 1963-64 undefeated season. After beginning his NBA career in Los Angeles with the Lakers, he returned to California for the 1972-73 season with the Golden State Warriors, for whom he sported this classic yellow durene gamer. "Golden State 44" is applied to the chest in heat-pressed felt, with number "44" affixed to verso in a similar manner. "Abdul-Rahman" is sewn-on tackle twill. Embroidered swatch in tail announces size and tailoring modification: "42-3" with year "72." Manufacturer's label, "Wilson 42," is to the right. Solid wear. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
