1961-62 Wilt Chamberlain Game Worn Philadelphia Warriors Shorts from 50+ Points Per Game Season.
No athlete in the history of sports was as dominating as Wilt Chamberlain was during NBA career. Wilt still holds more than seventy NBA records even though he hasn't played in the NBA for forty-three years. Chamberlain's greatest season was in 1961-62 when he averaged 50.4 points per game. Remember that this was the year he flipped the third-digit on his single-game scoring odometer, one of the most fabled performances in American sports.

On offer here is Wilt Chamberlain's game used road trunks form his mythical 1961-62 campaign, the greatest statistical season of any athlete in sports history: 50.4 points per game, 25.7 rebounds per game, 50.9 field goal percentage, and a staggering 48.5 minutes per game (due to overtime additions). He won the scoring title by a nineteen-point margin and, yes, he averaged more minutes per game than there are minutes in a game!

The trunks are blue satin with red, white and gold trim around the waist and red and white trim down the sides and leg openings. Quilted, white hip pads are sewn into the interior of the shorts. It is on the left of these hip pads that resides a white and red "Pearson Sporting Goods, 1010 Chestnut St., Phila., PA." tag with "Long" and "36" flag tags below. Above the manufacturer's tag sits a rectangular swatch of blue felt with "36 61 13" embroidered in white thread, denoting the size, season and player number. Exhibits great game wear.
