Description

1979 Los Angeles Lakers Full Ticket (First NBA Meeting of Larry Bird & Magic Johnson), PSA Good 2--Only Known Example! Their rivalry began in the NCAA and became the most celebrated in NBA history, paying dividends both on the court and in the retail world as thousands made their allegiances known with the colors of their Converse high-tops. The offered rarity is not only the sole full ticket known to survive to present day, but the only ticket of any format including stubs. This contest in the closing days of the 1970's saw Magic clip Bird's wings as the Lakers rumbled to a lopsided victory over the visiting Celtics at the Forum. Magic and Bird scored twenty-three and sixteen points respectively. It appears that a degree of age-toning to the ticket verso accounts for most of the points lost in the PSA grade, but the ticket presents excellently and its singular rarity renders any condition complaints ridiculous anyhow. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the advanced NBA ticket collector. Encapsulated by PSA, Good 2.
