1983 Michael Jordan & Sam Perkins Signed Issue of Sports Illustrated (11/28) -- Jordan's First SI Cover! The first of fifty appearances on the cover of this fabled sporting periodical came with the November 28, 1983 issue, as MJ asserted the Tarheels' dominance of the NCAA with his friend and teammate Sam Perkins. Each has signed in 9.5/10 blue sharpie. The issue exhibits some wear to the spine and remnants of where the mailing label was removed are visible.
