1971 Julius "Dr. J" Erving First Professional & First ABA Game Program, CGC 7.0 - First Offered at Auction & Only Graded Exemplar! Probably the only athlete who was ever kept an entire league afloat, Julius Erving revolutionized the way the game was played above the rim, was instrumental in the 1976 ABA-NBA merger, and was the NBA's first recognized "ambassador."

Presented here is Dr. J's first professional and first ABA game program. In this historic contest, played on October 15th 1971 at Greensboro Coliseum, Doc scored twenty-one points to lead his Virginia Squires to a 118-114 victory over the Carolina Cougars.

During his ABA tenure, Doc averaged 28.7 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 4.8 assists during the regular season and 31.1 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists during the playoffs, winning three league MVPs, two Finals MVPs, and the inaugural 1976 Slam Dunk Contest.

This is the first Julius Erving inaugural ABA game program ever offered for public sale and the only CGC graded exemplar. White pages. Encapsulated by CGC, 7.0.
