1925 Charles "Chuck" Hyatt Signed Basketball Program and Unsigned Photographs, Personally Owned. Chuck Hyatt isn't a household name nowadays, but back in the 1920's and 1930's, he was regarded as one of the finest basketball players on the planet. An All-American all three years at the University of Pittsburgh, he led the nation in scoring his final season, a year in which he was also voted College Player of the Year. Hyatt went on to play in the Amateur Athletic Union league, named to five AAU All-American teams. He went on to become one of the inaugural inductees into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1959.

The offered program appears to be Hyatt's personal copy of the "1925 National Interscholastic Basketball Tournament," a University of Chicago sponsored event hosting the top high school team from each state. Hyatt was listed as part of the Uniontown High School team from Pennsylvania. The front cover features several notations, including "Property of Charles Hyatt, Uniontown." In the center, Hyatt has signed his name twice in 9/10 fountain pen. One middle page has become separated from the 7x10" program.

Also included is a telegraph to Hyatt from 1937, a vintage black and white 2.75x4.5" photo of Hyatt circa late 1920's, and finally a 3.75x5" photo of an older Hyatt smoking a cigarette. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
