    c. 1950s Frank Selvy Photograph - Image Used for his 1957-58 Topps Rookie Card. At the two highest levels of basketball in America - the NBA and NCAA Division I - a mere two men have reached the elusive "100 point" threshold, each hitting triple digits right on the nose. Eight years before Wilt Chamberlain's famed affair, Furman swingman Frank Selvy hung a hundo on the Newberry College Wolves. Selvy would twice lead the NCAA in scoring before (41.7 PPG in his collegiate career) before becoming the number one overall pick by the Baltimore Bullets in the '54 NBA draft.

After the Bullets folded, Selvy was scooped up by the Hawks - which leads us to this 6.5x8.5" photograph, showing the two-time All-Star posed with the ball the image was used by Topps as the basis for his 1957-58 Topps rookie card (#51 in the set).

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
