Description

Roberto Clemente Signed Cut Display With 1994 Statue Dedication Patch. Roberto Clemente left an indelible mark on Major League Baseball as both an exceptional player and a humanitarian. As a right fielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Clemente was renowned for his powerful arm, precise hitting, and graceful fielding, leading to 12 Gold Glove awards, 3,000 career hits, and a .317 lifetime batting average. His commitment to helping others was equally significant, as he frequently engaged in charity work and outreach, particularly in his native Puerto Rico and other Latin American countries. Tragically, Clemente's life and career were cut short when he died in a plane crash on December 31, 1972, while en route to deliver aid to earthquake victims in Nicaragua, solidifying his legacy as a hero both on and off the field.

Offered is a 14x20" frame that holds a photograph of Clemente and a signed cut from the HOFer. A patch from Clemente's 1994 statue dedication is also included. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
