Description

Early 1980's Julius Erving Game Worn, Signed Shoe. There's something about the sneaker brand "Converse" that brings back memories of the classic NBA. Nike didn't rule the early 1980's, as the basketball shoe giant does today. Instead, names like Magic, Larry and Dr. J all were know for their dazzling moves while wearing their sharp Converse sneakers. Offered here is one of the most memorable styles, worn by Dr. J from his days with the Philadelphia 76ers. The doctor used 7/10 black sharpie to sign a great "full-name" signature below the proper "Dr. J" and "Converse" red stampings. Shoe shows exceptional game use, with noticeable cracking under the tongue and throughout the interior. There is no size tag or markings visible in this Hall of Fame-caliber piece, but it measures at 14" in length. Stunning example from the Sixers' memorable days of the 1980's. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
