Donnie Nelson Dual Signed Shoes - Benefitting A.W. Brown Education Foundation.

General manager and president of basketball operations for the Dallas Mavericks Donnie Nelson is presented on this pair of dual-signed "Adidas" shoes. Signed on the toes in Mint silver sharpie each, the "[size] 13.5" kicks display perfectly. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.

Proceeds from this lot support A. W. Brown Education Foundation.

The A.W. Brown-Fellowship Leadership Academy is a first year third-generation elementary school serving students prekindergarten 3 through sixth grade which represents the most contemporary and aggressive trend of thought in public pro-choice today.

Located in the southern sector of Dallas, commonly known as Oak Cliff, and serving a racially diverse body of students (98% African American and 2% Hispanic). Students who are predominantly from moderate to low income families, the school depends quite heavily on church and corporate sponsorships to support innovative curriculums and meet its annual budget in excess of $4.5 million.

Although the school is technically classified "public", what makes it unique is the rare fusion of the tuition-free aspect of traditional public school education and the rigorous academic requirements, discipline, and learning climate historically associated with private school education. Armed with a faculty of the most experienced and well equipped teachers in North Texas, the school is clearly committed to the mission of "building a firm academic, attitudinal, and moral foundation that will support a lifetime of high achievement for each of its students in the classroom, the home, and society."

The Brenda Teele Women's Bowling Invitational is one of two major fundraising efforts conducted each year by the A.W. Brown Education Foundation. The purpose of the fundraising event is to raise revenue to support the foundation's mission of providing scholarships to alumni of the A.W. Brown-Fellowship Leadership Academy who gain admission to local partnering private middle and high schools.

Thanks to the generosity of the families, friends, corporate sponsors and fundraising efforts of the students of A.W. Brown-Fellowship Leadership Academy, our alumni students have been able to attend and graduate from higher learning institutions such as Bishop Dunne High School, Hockaday and St. Marks.
