Description

Circa 1999 Bill Russell Signed Boston Garden Parquet Floor Piece. A part of the legendary Boston Garden since 1952, the parquet floor lasted until 1999 when it was cut up and sold as souvenirs. Thankfully, this particular piece, and a large one it is, was graced with the signature of Boston Celtic great Bill Russell. Perhaps no name in sports is as synonymous with winning as Russell, who won the NBA Championship eleven out of thirteen seasons. Before anyone claims he was simply surrounded by other great players, bear in mind that Russell also won two NCAA championships with the University of San Francisco, and a gold medal at the 1956 Summer Olympics. No wonder the man is named one of the top basketball players in history. This particular brick of green wood measures 4x8.5" and is framed in a shadowbox with a 3x5" photo and brass nameplate. Item is framed to overall dimensions of 12x15." Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
