Description

Circa 1983 Robert Parish Game Worn & Signed Boston Celtics Sneakers. The Chief was a big fan of the green canvas Cons on offer here and he wore them pretty much exclusively from 1982-83 to 1984-85, after Nike but before New Balance. In fact, if you check the game films you will find that in most of his legendary battles with Kareem he was wearing footwear like this. For the style match, see Getty Images 85724820 and 82564082.

Classic and durable, just like The Chief, these Converse All-Stars feature green canvas uppers with the star and chevron logo, all sewn-on in white leather. The alternate brand logo resides on the heels, there is a "Converse All-Star" label on the tongues, and a size "16" flap tag inside. Parish's autograph appears on the sides of each in vintage black marker (faded). Best of all are the customized heel pads which were added for increased comfort and protection in the paint. These exemplars exhibit nice overall wear but remain in fantastic condition. Parish is a Hall of Famer and a Top 50. Enough said. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
