Basketball Hall of Famers Signed Letters to Hellen Naismith Dodd. Terrific content and legendary names tell the story here, as basketball's elite write to Dr. Naismith's daughter. 1) Three page typed letter from Forrest "Phog" Allen in 1948 relating anecdotes about Dr. Naismith, including how he refused to capitalize on his fame, and how his family lost their home after World War I due to financial troubles. Signed in 10/10 ink at close. Pages are EX-MT. 2) Two page handwritten letter from Edward Hickox asks for information so the Hall of Fame can honor Naismith. This is before the Hall of fame was even open--mentions breaking ground in October 1959! All ink and closing "Edward J. Hickox" autograph are 9+/10. Page is EX-MT. 3) Last page (missing others) of a 1961 letter from Hickox signed "Ed," with several lines of handwritten text following. All ink is 9+/10, page is EX-MT. LOA from PSA/DNA.
