2003 LeBron James NBA Draft Day Collection. If you're a serious Cleveland Cavaliers fan, you'll love this lot more than your own children. In what should stand as one of the most significant draft days in NBA history, the 2003 event brought a spectacularly talented high school kid to his hometown Cleveland franchise, an arrival that would almost overnight turn the Cavs into one of the league's top contenders. The composition of the lot is as follows:

    1) A small hard plastic briefcase with a sticker on the lid from "Beitel Lottery Products." Inside is a single ping pong ball secured in a foam rubber grid meant to hold twenty. The ball is labeled number "1," providing the Cavs with the first pick in the NBA draft.

    2) The Cleveland Cavaliers cap placed upon LeBron's head that day, the very first piece of team gear ever worn by the man who would become the face of the franchise and the most popular player in the NBA today.

    3) Two pieces of Cleveland Cavaliers signage from the team table at the Theater at Madison Square Garden where the 2003 NBA draft took place. Each measures approximately 11x11" in size.

All pieces remain in flawless condition, unchanged from the most significant night in Cleveland Cavaliers history. Lengthy notarized documentation, present in photocopied format, details the chain of provenance from the MSG event to the "Coordinator, Trading Cards & Memorabilia" of "NBA Properties," and then to an employee of Fleer trading cards.
