    Description

2002 Los Angeles Lakers NBA Championship Ring. Visually stunning prize from the Shaq & Kobe dynasty of the L.A. Lakers was presented to an arena worker for the team that earned its fourteenth NBA Championship in 2002. The triangle theme on the ring face makes note of this third consecutive trip to the mountain top, with the amethyst at center bordered by the word "Back" on three sides, as in " Back to back to back." Fourteen brilliant cut diamonds adorn the bezel, where raised lettering reads " Lakers World Champions." Sixty-one yellow diamonds are set in the ring face, as are three larger triangular cut diamonds representing each Championship. The presentee chose the word " Chairman" rather than his name for the left shank, and below the design makes note of the team's regular season (58-15) and playoffs (24-4) records. Right shank features team logo, year " 2002," and a tribute to Chick Hearn, whose last game at the mike would be the Lakers' 2002 Championship clincher. Interior band is stamped " 14K" and measures to a size fifteen. The ring is housed in its original hinged wood presentation case. Mint. Two keychains only available to staffers are included.
