2000 Los Angeles Lakers NBA Championship Ring (Presented to Kobe Bryant's Bodyguard - With Original Wooden Box. Arguably one of the most important Championship rings of the modern era, the presented model represents the first trip to the mountain top for the fruitful but complicated partnership of Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal. The twelfth NBA Championship for the Lakers franchise came at the end of their longest drought since Wilt Chamberlain closed out eighteen years of longing in 1972. This 2000 Championship would prove to be the first of a "three-peat," and of five Championships in an eleven-season span.

This particular example was presented to one of Kobe's bodyguards ("Nelson"), but the shimmering creation is identical in every regard to those who earned their own on the court. The face announces "Lakers" surrounded by ten .10 carat diamonds (one full carat) and twenty-nine 0.04 carat diamonds (1.16 carat) filling in the front. "World Champions" is expressed on front. Ten .25 carat diamonds decorate the sides as well. The left shank is engraved with the recipient's surname and boasts the Lakers' stat line below: "67-15 15-8" which refers to the Lakers' overall record and playoff record. The opposite shank reads "Bling Bling 2000" above an image of the Larry O'Brien Trophy, complete with an inset diamond. Band measures to a size 10.5, and is stamped "14K" at interior.
