    Description

1996-97 Michael Jordan Game Worn Sneakers. The twelfth edition of the fabled Air Jordan by Nike appears here in its most desirable format, once owned and operated by the legend himself. The sneakers derive from the personal collection of Ryan Scott, son of the Orlando Magic's first pick in the 1990 NBA draft, Dennis Scott. The younger Scott's included letter of provenance rather predictably attributes the game use to a Bulls game against his pop's team, after which the sharpshooting star acquired the souvenirs for his young son.

Both shoes are marked size "13.5," a fact that alone assures Jordan ownership as that half-size was never available in retail format. At this late stage of Jordan's career, he changed shoes often, but game wear is nonetheless clearly apparent. Jordan would lead the NBA in scoring this season with 2,431 points before claiming his fifth NBA Championship and Finals MVP Award. Key relics from the heart of Jordan's dominance. Letter of provenance from son of Orlando Magic player Dennis Scott. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
