1993-94 Hakeem Olajuwon Game Worn & Signed Sneakers & 1994 Finals Game Worn Kneepads (Photo Matched) - MVP & Championship Season. Olajuwon's four-season peak, from 1992-93 to 1995-96, made him unquestionably the best big of his era and certainly ranks with any center's peak. To this day, the Nigerian Nightmare's footwork mastery, variety of post moves, and defensive range has yet to be incorporated in any center, before or since.

Hakeem's game worn sneakers and knee pads offered here date from his greatest season, in 1993-94. Consider this, during that campaign he was the league MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Finals MVP, and the Rockets defeated the Knicks to win their first title.

Dream's LA Tech sneakers sport a white/red/gold colorway with the leather/suede/nylon uppers, midsoles and outersoles all showing desirable wear, but still presenting in fine condition without any significant material degradation. The only distraction is on the right upper, where the stitching affixing the tongue to the toebox has become partially undone. The outer heels have "LA Tech" stitched in gold with "Catapult LA Tech " tagging on the tongues and "LA Tech" insoles intact. While there is an absence of interior tagging, which is consistent with some player models for this era, they do measure-out to a size seventeen which is the size Dream would have worn in this era. Dream can been seen wearing this colorway from the 1993 All-Star Game to the beginning of the 1994-95 season and, of course, the colorway has been style-matched to this period (see Getty Images #944736850). The left shoe has been signed boldly in vintage black sharpie "Hakeem #34."

Hakeem terrorized Ewing and the Knicks in the 1994 Finals, averaging 26.9 points and 3.9 blocks, and made the play of the series when he blocked John Stark's attempted three to save Game Six and force a seventh. Olajuwon wore these types of red "Bike" knee pads for nearly his entire career and, as with these exemplars, he always crossed out the brand name with black sharpie for contractual reasons. This pair can he photomatched to the 1994 Finals by the sharpie blackout and the wear at the middle of the left pad (see Getty Images #450775052). LOA from Heritage Auctions.
