Description

1992 Michael Jordan Game Worn & Signed Sneakers Attributed To 56-Point Playoff Performance Against Miami Heat. Michael Jordan always played the game with a sizable chip on his shoulder. When there was no slight to draw from, Jordan would simply create one. This was elevated when May and June rolled around and the playoffs were at hand. Jordan first tasted championship champagne following the 1991 NBA Finals. The target was squarely on the Bulls' back during the 1991-92 season. Chicago finished with 67 wins and opened the playoffs with a sweep of Miami in three short games.

These "Nike Air Jordan size 13" shoes are attributed to the closeout game, when the Bulls swept through the Heat April 29, 1992 at Miami Arena. Jordan was at his absolute best as he tallied 56 points in the 119-114 triumph. His stat line included 20-30 from the field and 16-18 from the foul line. These were originally obtained by a young Bulls fan who acquired them directly from Jordan's nephews following the game. The young fan, and entrepreneur, paid $200 cash for the shoes. The entire story is spelled out in the signed letter of authenticity. The Air Jordan VII shoes were partially inspired by West African Tribal culture and have overtones from the Nike Huarache shoe series as well. Size 13 Nike labels ("920112FT2") are sewn on the inside of the tongue on both shoes. Surface degradation is visible on the heel portion - our guess from exposure. Jordan signed the tip of the right shoe in 10/10 black felt tip. The left shoe is signed in silver paint pen (9/10) on the side. UDA certification secures the authentication of the autographs. Letter of provenance from original owner. COA from UDA (autographs). LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
