Description
1990's Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen & Dennis Rodman Game Worn Chicago Bulls Dual-Signed Shoes. Many people think Michael Jordan just jumped back into the NBA and started winning titles with ease. This was anything but the case when No. 23 returned in the latter stages of the 1994-95 campaign. The Bulls were humiliated by Shaquille O'Neal and the Orlando Magic in the playoffs. Enter Dennis Rodman. The Worm was the perfect tonic needed for the Bulls to return to the big stage. MJ, Pippen and Rodman combined forces and helped the Bulls to a 72-10 season en route to a championship. Two more titles were realized before the dynasty rode off into the sunset. Offered are three pairs of game-worn shoes from Chicago's main men from the mid to late '90's. To our knowledge, this is the first time all three have been offered in a single lot. As he always does, Michael Jordan takes top billing. These 1995-96 "Nike [size] 13.5" Air Jordan XI shoes (Concords) were worn by MJ during the record-breaking 72-win season. One-game wear is featured on the kicks. The insides have been removed and a Nike sample tag is affixed inside. Jordan signed both shoes in 9/10 silver paint pen. The autographs have UDA authentication and were signed at a Flight Camp event. The Jordan shoes contain a letter of authenticity from a longtime Pistons fan who befriended Pistons PR director Matt Dobek. The letter of provenance states the collector received these directly from MJ in the locker room. Jordan's wingman, Scottie Pippen is up next. Presented are Pippen's "Nike Air [size] 16" Uptempo shoes. The Hall of Famer signed the tips in 9/10 silver paint pen. Originally donated to a charity auction, the shoes show good overall use. The grips on the left shoe are pulling away from the bottom but attached. This could be remedied easily. A letter from the Atlanta Coalition of Theatres will attend. Rodman's shoes completes the triumvirate. Rodman wore these "Nike [size] 14" Nike Air Ndestrukt shoes (the rarest variety) when he was in the Windy City. Both are designated as sample shoes and have the insides removed. Rodman signed the tips in 10/10 black felt tip. Overall, a historic collection of shoes from one of basketball's finest outfits. COA from UDA (Jordan autograph). Letter of provenance from Atlanta Coalition of Theatres (Pippen shoes). LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.More information about Michael Jordan Sports Player.
