1990 Michael Jordan Eastern Conference Finals Game Three Worn Sneakers & Signed Book Set Gifted to Whitney Houston. Jordan and Houston each look positively star-struck in the marvelous photograph of them together after the Chicago Bulls defeated the Detroit Pistons in Game Three of the 1990 Eastern Conference Finals. Houston had sung the national anthem before the game, and proudly displays the Air Jordan V "Metallics" sported by the sneakers' namesake, who led all scorers with forty-seven points that evening.The shoes exhibit solid game wear, each tagged, "8912012FT1 [size] 13" at interior. The midsoles have been professionally restored to counteract that degradation of the polyurethane endemic to Air Jordans of this era and present beautifully. While the sneakers are not autographed to Houston, His Airness' book set "For the Love of the Game" indeed is, the sleeve cover inscribed in 8/10 ink, "To Whitney, Still Love Your Music, Much Love, Michael Jordan." Heritage is pleased to have the opportunity to present this matched pair of sneakers and book for the second time, the first having occurred when our Entertainment division hosted "The Whitney Houston Collection" in June of 2016.
