1990-91 Bernard King Game Worn Washington Bullets Shooting Jacket. Following a knee injury which has ended all too many careers, Bernard King picked himself up and rehabbed like a man possessed. He regained most of his explosiveness and resurfaced. Worn by King when he called Washington home in 1990-91 is this attractive "Champion [size] 44" shooting jacket. Worth special mention is the U.S. flag on the left sleeve. Each of the identifiers is affixed in two-color tackle twill and the anchor stitching has taken on a pinkish hue from launderings. Sewn in tandem in the collar are two labels: Bullets exclusivity ("Sleeve Length +0 Body Length +0") and Champion size. "30" is written on the exclusivity tag in vintage marker. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
