    Description

1989-90 Michael Jordan Game Worn & Signed V Air Jordan Sneakers Attributed to Eastern Conference Finals vs. Pistons.
The Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons staged an Eastern Conference Finals for the ages when they battled in 1990. Both teams were bloodied and bruised during the spirited series which went a full seven games. The Jordan Rules were in effect when the Bad Boys secured back-to-back NBA titles. Jordan, Pippen and Grant could only gnaw their teeth in frustration as yet another season ended just short. One year later, Jordan's Bulls would finally taste championship champagne and begin a dynasty.

These "Air Jordan size 13" game-worn shoes are attributed to that memorable series, and they are accompanied with rock solid provenance. Our consignor was a courtside cocktail waitress at Chicago Stadium and then the United Center from 1989-2003. Actually, she was promised the Game Three shoes before they were gifted to Whitey Houston who sang the national anthem that game. Heritage had the honor of selling that pair for $20,000. These were gifted to our consignor the following game. Her laminated United Center pass will be included to the winning bidder. Both shoes show ample game wear and are signed on the heel in silver paint pen. Surface degradation has affected the heel/signatures - (9/10 left) and (6/10 right). The bottoms have cracked and there is light chipping on the sides. This is a common occurrence on shoes of this vintage. Nike size tags are concealed inside. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Letter of provenance from Chicago Bulls stadium worker. Full LOA from SGC Authentic.
