    Description

1987 Kareem Abdul Jabbar Game Worn, Signed Shoes - Worn in NBA Finals! The ascension of the NBA can be directly tied to the Lakers and Celtics domination. Fans coast to coast tuned in to see Magic vs. Bird as they inspired us all. The 1987 Finals produced the final meeting of the two teams in the 1980's. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar showed he had plenty left in Game 6 as he notched a team-high 32 points in the close-out contest. Heritage Auctions is proud to present the Adidas sneakers that the legendary skyhook master wore during that historic series, and they are accompanied with a letter of provenance from Jabbar's former teammate Clay Johnson. Exhibiting solid wear, the left shoe is signed by Jabbar in bold black ink. Shoes are untagged, and they measure at 13.5" in length. One of the most historically significant pairs of sneakers in the entire hobby, these can easily be style matched to countless action shots from the memorable NBA Finals contest. Letter of provenance from Clay Johnson. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
