    Description

1986-89 Magic Johnson Game Worn Los Angeles Lakers Sneakers, MEARS Authentic. It's one of the most recognizable (and coveted) styles of the 1980's hardcourt, an unmistakable relic from the days when Magic and Larry Bird battled for the Converse team while a young Michael Jordan tugged the other side of the rope for Nike. The experts at MEARS have assigned a four-season range for this well-worn pair, but we stress that this is the exact style found on the legendary point guard's feet during the glorious 1987 season when Johnson earned both the NBA regular season and NBA Finals MVP Awards. No size tagging is present (as typical), but shoes measure to a proper size fourteen. The purple "Magic" text at ankles was only available to the man himself, and vintage (6/10 average) red ink autographs on each shoe likewise lock down the personal provenance. Truly stellar representations that evoke fond memories of Magic in his prime. LOA from MEARS, Authentic. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (one for the pair). Full LOA from James Spence Authentication (one for each shoe).

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
