Description

1984 Robert Parish Game Worn, Signed Shoes - Attributed to '84 NBA Finals. Coupled with Kevin McHale, the Boston Celtics had one of the NBA's most formidable front courts in league history. If they got past McHale, the Chief was always there to re-direct a shot attempt. The 1984 NBA Finals were no different. In a thrilling seven-game Celtics victory over longtime rival Los Angeles, Robert Parish played a key role by controlling the boards as well as establishing an extremely important inside presence.

Offered here are his classic dark green canvas "Converse" sneakers that the Chief attributed to the 1984 Finals with a key inscription that he added to the right shoe, which is also signed in bold silver ink. The "[size] 16" shoes exhibit moderate wear throughout and can be style matched to countless images from the '84 championship, both at the Boston Garden and Los Angeles Forum. Originally obtained from the estate of a longtime Detroit Pistons season ticket holder, they are true piece of history from a special time in Celtics folklore. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph). Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).
