Obtained Directly from Lakers Ball Boy!

1982 Kareem Abdul Jabbar Game Worn, Signed Los Angeles Lakers Sneakers - Worn in Clinching Game of NBA Finals! After finally exorcising the demons of 1981 and blowing out the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of the 1982 Eastern Conference Finals, the Boston Garden crowd began a historic chant of "Beat L.A.!," encouraging the Sixers to defeat the hated Lakers in the upcoming championship round. Despite the Celtics faithful urging chant for the Eastern Conference to defeat its West Coast foe, Kareem and Magic had other ideas, and the Lakers defeated the Sixers in six games, giving the franchise its eighth NBA championship title.

Offered here are Kareem Abdul Jabbar's white and purple leather Adidas sneakers that the legendary center wore during the clinching Game 6 of the 1982 Finals. Given to former Lakers ball boy Doug Pfaff shortly after the final buzzer, these moderately used kicks can easily be style matched to the historic contest at the Great Western Forum. Each shoe was signed after the game by Kareem in 7/10 vintage purple ink, and they have been spectacularly preserved in the hands of the former ball boy since he received them on that magical day. Letter of provenance from former Lakers ball boy. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
