Description
1978 Washington Bullets NBA Championship Ring Presented to Bob Dandridge. It was Dandridge's first season in our nation's capital and he proved to be the missing ingredient in the NBA Championship recipe, joining fellow future Hall of Famers Elvin Hayes and Wes Unseld to power the franchise to its only taste of the sport's ultimate glory. In Game Two, Dandridge led all scorers with thirty-four points, and his Game Seven dunk was the final nail in the coffin of the vanquished Seattle SuperSonics. This is the second and final NBA Championship ring earned by Dandridge, a thrilling relic consigned to auction by the legend himself, with his letter of provenance. A single genuine diamond is set into the ring's face atop a figural basketball, with "NBA World Champion" running the perimeter in raised lettering. Left shank reports the historic vintage above an NBA logo, while right shank identifies its famous owner along with a team logo and the slogan, "The Fat Lady Sings." Interior band is stamped "Balfour 14K" and engraved, "M [illegible] - R. L. D." Size eleven (11). Weight is forty grams (40 g.). Proud wear evident but ring presents very well. Letter of provenance from Bob Dandridge.
