1971 UCLA Bruins Basketball National Championship Ring.
The annals of sport is filled with dynasties. The New York Yankees on multiple occasions have been at the top of the baseball world for an extended period of time. Edmonton's run of Stanley Cups in the early 1980's is almost unprecedented. The Green Bay Packers ruled the gridiron in the 1960's. Boston ruled the professional roundball ranks with nine titles in the 1960's. College basketball was ruled by the capable hand of John Wooden in the 1970's. The Wizard of Westwood won ten titles in a twelve-year span including seven straight.

UCLA's dominance of the college hardwood will never be duplicated. This size 10 ring was issued to either a player of staff member from the team. The ring has "RBB" engraved on the inside. The team did roster Rick Betchley for two of the title wins. We searched the auction archives and could only find Lynn Shackelford's ring which sold for a little over $20,000 about six years ago. That ring had three years stamped on one shank given he was part of three UCLA championships. This ring features reference to two championships - Betchley was a part of both. A synthetic blue stone is centered while "UCLA NCAA Champions" surrounds the perimeter. One shank has "Bruins" and a basketball raised. The opposite side features "1971 1970." "Balfour 10k" engraved inside. The original Balfour box accompanies. Weight is 22.8 grams. LOA from PSA/DNA, Authentic.
