    Description

1971 NBA vs. ABA All-Star Game Full Tickets (2) & Program. It was one of the most important games in professional basketball history, though few realized it at the time. This was the first real showdown between the rogue American Basketball Association and the entrenched National Basketball Association, and though the NBA took the 125-120 victory, the widely-held public sentiment that the NBA was far superior took a serious hit. This could be considered the first step en route to the merger five years in the future.

Presented are two untorn but hole-punched tickets (EX except for the punches), an EX-MT official program, and a wire photo of the team coaches exchanging basketballs before the contest (7x9", EX). An exciting opportunity for the true basketball historian.
