Description

1971-72 Rick Barry ABA Player of the Year Award. The only player to lead the NCAA, ABA and NBA in scoring, Rick Barry is also the only NBA player to admit to having punched a nun. His unselfish play on the court earned him the undisputed mantle as the best passing forward of his time, but his unfiltered persona led Mike Dunleavy to remark: "If you sent Rick Barry to the United Nations, he would probably end up starting World War III."

Here is the award which the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association presented to Barry for being named the 1971-72 ABA Player of the Year. That season Rick averaged 31.5 during the regular season and 30.8 during the post-season, when he led his New York Nets to the ABA Finals.

Brown wood plaque feature gold accents and inscription plate. Measures 12x15x.75", displays light wear and presents well.
