    Description

1971-72 Indiana Pacers ABA Championship Ring Presented to Shooting Guard Larry Cannon. Before entering the NBA in 1976, the Indiana Pacers were known as one of the power house franchises of the American Basketball Association. Here we present one of the most beautiful rings we've handled, and it represents the Pacers' 1971-72 championship season when they defeated the New York Nets in the league's title series.

Measuring to a size 12.5 and weighing 30 grams, the 10 karat Herff Jones ring was presented to shooting guard Larry Cannon for his contributions on that memorable squad. Holding the distinction of being the player with the most point in Philadelphia high school history not named Wilt Chamberlain, Cannon misplaced his original '72 championship ring and was issued this example at a later date, as it is a replacement.

Exhibiting minimal wear throughout, the top displays genuine diamonds around a gorgeous blue stone, while it is stamped "HJ 10K" in the interior. The first of its kind ever offered at Heritage auctions, it will surely stand out in any advanced roundball collector's showroom. Letter of provenance from player's son.
