1958 Dick Harp KCKAA Hall of Fame Award. Following in the footsteps of an icon is never an easy task. Dick Harp did as good of a job as humanly possible following Phog Allen's forced retirement when he turned age 70. The man given the right to carry on Kansas' roundball tradition was Dick Harp, a former player and assistant coach of Allen's. It didn't hurt the understudy that a lanky giant named Wilt Chamberlain burst onto the scene to make the transition an unbridled success. Presented to Harp is this Kansas City Kansas Athletic Association award. "K.C.K.A.A WYDTE Co. Hall of Fame 1958 Dick Harp Basketball" is engraved to the gold placard on front. Three stars are affixed over the engravings as well. A letter of authenticity from Harp's son will secure authentication. A few surface scratches appear on the lower half. Letter of provenance from Dick Harp's son, Richard.
