A four-game sweep over the Minneapolis Lakers earned this storied franchise its second World Championship in three years, delivering a stinging blow to the segregationists who disapproved of the team's racial diversity. Ten of the eleven members of Red Auerbach's superstar club pictured on the cover of this Boston Garden program have signed in 9/10 or better blue ink: K.C. Jones, Ramsey, Sam Jones, Sharman, Cousy, Swain, Loscutoff, Heinsohn, Conley and Russell.
