1954 Indiana High School Basketball "Hoosiers" Championship Ticket Stub. The inspiration for one of the most beloved sports films in American cinema history, the Indiana State Championship victory of tiny Milan High School sent the basketball-mad state into hysterics in 1954, with 40,000 fans lining Highway 101 for thirteen miles to watch the team bus return to its hometown of 1,150 joyous souls. With an enrollment of just 161 students, Milan High School remains the smallest ever to win a single-class title in the state, shocking the heavily-favored Muncie Bearcats with a fourteen-foot buzzer-beater to seal a thirty-two to thirty victory over the four-time State Champs.

Presented is few surviving ticket stubs from that heart-swelling underdog victory at Butler University Field House, a building that seems to hold a special magic for roundball fans. The right half has creasing and there is corner wear on the left side. There is a name written on back.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
