1953 Clair Bee Signed Letter to Marques Haynes from the Marques Haynes Collection. In an undated letter accompanied by the original mailing envelope dated 1953, Hall of Fame coach Clair Bee lays out his vision for the content and design of a book to be co-written by Marques and tentatively titled "Globetrotter Basketball." Note that Coach Bee, a long-time friend of Marques, couldn't keep track of the proper spelling of his name, using the common version "Marcus." This is a great letter, showing the workings of the mind of one of basketball's early strategists. Signed with the note "write me in Baltimore" and "Clair," this document is an outstanding piece of history. The accompanying envelope bears the full autograph "Clair Bee" in the return address section. LOA from PSA/DNA.
