1950's Maurice Stokes Signed Cut Signature. Shocking tragedy established this autograph as one of the rarest in the history of the NBA--in fact, this is just the second example we've had the privilege to offer in our history. On March 12, 1958, Stokes was knocked unconscious when his head struck the floor after being upended chasing a rebound in the last game of the Cincinnati Royals season. He'd recover consciousness but paralysis would haunt the remainder of his days until his passing at age thirty-six in 1970. This 8/10 blue ballpoint signature is clipped from a program and affixed to a 3x5" index card. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
