1937 Frank Keaney Twice Signed Document - Tough Basketball Autograph! The architect of modern run-and-shoot basketball, Frank Keaney's up-tempo style made use of a fast-breaking offense and full-court defense. In fact, Keaney's innovative strategies enabled his 1939 Rhode Island club to become the first college team to score better than 50 point in a single game. The coach of the famed 1943 Rhode Island squad that earned the nickname "The Firehouse Gang" due to its 80.7 ppg. average, Keaney, who passed away in 1967, was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1960.

Offered here is an original 1937 Rhode Island letterman's certificate that Keaney signed twice in bold black ink, and issued to argueably the best player in 1939 Chet Jaworski. Measuring at 9.5x12", the heavy paper stock exhibits two tape marks but it presents EX quality overall. One of the toughest HOF signatures from the hardwood, this is one of the nicest we've seen from the sports pioneer. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
